Canoe, Sea Kayak and White Water Personal Coaching
I offer a number of specialist personal canoe and kayak coaching workshops giving you the tools and knowledge to deal with a range of common issues faced by many canoeists and kayakers. Whether you paddle for fun, fitness or competition feel free to contact me to discuss your specific needs.
Personal Coaching
Join me for a day of personal skills development in the craft of your choice. If you want a skills tune up I can help you. If you need a day in preparation for a BCU assessment I can help you. Perhaps you’re preparing for an event or expedition then I can help you. Whatever you need to raise your paddling to the next level I can help you.
We will have an initial conversation to agree your needs and aims, arrange a time and place to meet and spend a day developing and helping you become the best you can be. At the end of the day we will review your learning and development, and we will agree an action plan to help you continue to develop in the weeks and months after our session.
Course fees are £200 for one person, £150 each for two, £125 each for three, £90 each for four, £80 each for five and £75 each for six people.

Breakthrough Anxiety With Attitude
When learning to canoe or kayak, between the forward steps we can sometimes find ourselves at a sticking point and for some reason we just can’t progress. Many people experience this when learning to capsize, and for others it’s when moving onto white water, or wanting to move up to the next river grade, or when thinking about playing in stoppers, tide races or surf. Come and join me for two days and we will build the confidence you need in a supportive learning environment. Imagine what it will be like having learned how to control your anxiety and natural fear and confidently achieve your aims – essential skills which open up new opportunities leading to your next level of paddling achievement. Trauma Buster
How much do you want to eliminate the impact of a past event or trauma that limits your ability to paddle to your full potential? Many people are put off paddling completely by one bad experience. Many others get ‘back into the saddle’ and hope that by stepping down a level or building back up slowly time will eventually cure them. Fortunately, our brains don’t work like that. Our brain learns very quickly – and can quickly learn a new response to those old memories. All your brain is waiting for is to be shown a new way to respond which is more useful to you as a person and a paddler – allowing you to think clearly and with confidence.
